It gives me immense pleasure to receive you all at the beginning of the new academic session. Holy Flower Senior Secondary School, Katigorah takes pride in welcoming all the freshers to our esteemed institution with new hope – a hope where a silver lining awaits you to build and shape your dreams with the help of our dedicated faculty members and your respected parents and guardians.

You have crossed your first milestone and entered into a new academic year. Today, you stand at the beginning of another exciting chapter. You will cross many more milestones in your life ahead.

We are thrilled to be partnering with you on this educational journey of discovery, experience, and achievement. Before you embark on this new journey, remember to believe in yourself.

NOTHING CAN STOP YOU if you love yourself, respect yourself, and believe in your dreams. It all depends on your attitude towards life.

As Thomas Jefferson said: “Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude, and nothing can help the man with the wrong attitude.” Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam also reminded us: “Dream, Dream, Dream – Dreams transform into thoughts and thoughts result in action.” Hence, dream till the sun rises.

My dear children, have a positive attitude towards life. Leave your fears behind. Don’t be afraid of stumbling or failing. Failure isn’t falling down; it’s staying down. If you fall, get up and move on. Never take your eyes off your goal. Forget the obstacles. As Henry Ford said, “Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.”

My beloved students, big goals can feel overwhelming. Visualize yourself achieving them. Swami Vivekananda said, “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.”
